Zuckerberg and Jobs get it…

Successful business leaders like Zuckerberg and Jobs are very aware of this common energy sucker and how detrimental it can be to their ability to be the best at what they do.
So much so that they proactively put practices in place to combat it.
It is often overlooked if you are not conscious of it.
It can build over time…
And result in you making reactive and dangerous decisions.
You might even unknowingly have it…
Decision Fatigue.
This is a really common problem with business owners and leaders.
Because we’re constantly making decisions all day, every day.
People need us to make decisions so things can keep going, growing, building.
And sure the business decisions can be big and small but it’s not just those decisions…
What will I wear today?
What will I eat today?
What will the kids eat today?
What will the kids do in the school holidays?
Who is picking up the groceries this week?
The sheer volume of decisions takes a lot of mental capacity.
Plus you have to analyse all the different aspects of the decision.
Risk
Opportunities
Outcomes
And more…
It’s not just, decide, decide, decide.
It’s actually quite a bit of work.
So as leaders and business owners, we can often reach this point of decision fatigue.
Where we are actually really exhausted because we have to think so much every day.
In my video here I talk about some ideas to help combat decision fatigue.

In short, what you need to do is reduce the number of decisions in each day.
Give your mind the capacity to make the important decisions without the clutter of the minutia.
Delegate more.
Prepare in advance.
Batch up simple decisions like meal planning and wardrobe.
You can go as far as Steve Jobs and fill your wardrobe with the same outfits so you don’t have to think about what you have to wear each day.
