Goal hitting brain training.

Published by Louise Ledbrook on

Everyone gets all excited at planning time.

They get clarity on their goals.

They write a plan to attack them.

And then life happens and they forget not only the plan but even the goals.

Crazy! I know!

But it happens, every year.

The first thing I want you to do after creating a 90 day plan is put it on the wall.

The second is look at it every day.

Make it a ritual to look at it each day.

BUT let’s take it further.

Let’s make sure we don’t forget our goals.

You know, that reason you have a plan in the first place…

The purpose of what I am about to share is to train our subconscious to always have your goals front of mind and to be looking for ways to achieve them.

If you tell your mind something enough, it starts to work on it.

So when you set your goals I want you to first rewrite them every day for at least 2 weeks.

This does a few things..

It’s embedding them into your mind but it is also helping your mind decide what’s actually important.

You can sometimes start modifying and refining them in this process.

Keep writing them daily until they have settled and haven’t changed for 2 weeks.

I know most people tell you to write them and stick them on your mirror or something but after a few days you don’t even notice them anymore.

This active process of writing is much more effective.

After the two weeks you can keep writing them if you want or read them.

You want to read them at least once a week.

This is continuing to remind our minds of our goals.

Why is this important?

It’s so when a bright shiny object pops up to distract you from your goals your mind is primed to move towards your goals.

This means your mind is less likely to allow you to be distracted because it’s not on your path to where you want to go.

Watch my video here as I also talk about using your goals as an anchor to make good decisions every day, including when to say NO to something.

So if you have already forgotten your goals you set in January, maybe you’ve even been distracted by something else.

Start doing the process above and let’s smash those 2022 goals!!

If you want to make sure you stay on track and actually hit those goals this year then let’s talk about making that happen for you.  Book in for a quick chat and let’s see what’s going on for you and what I may be able to do to help.

You never know when a 15 minute chat can change your life, for the better.

Wishing you an amazing goal hitting day!
