I was Feeling Really Disheartened

Published by Louise Ledbrook on

I know all too well the ups and downs of the business owner roller coaster.

There are so many moving parts that all have to work for you and your business to be successful.

It’s a lot. I get it!

But you can’t let that overwhelm block you.

Don’t let it stop you living your passion and creating impact in the world.

Recently I had a setback myself, which is common in business…

I was running a marketing campaign that was running really well. My best performing ad ever actually.

However, leads are great but customers are better.

And as you know there can be many steps in the process from someone discovering you to finally becoming a customer.

And I was feeling really disheartened because I was struggling to get all the steps in my process to work.

I let myself fall into a poor state of mind.

Telling myself I was a failure and making myself feel like crap.

Now we’re human, it happens…

Just don’t let yourself stay in that state for long.

I mean, I’m talking minutes not days.

So I called on one of my Go To strategies.

It’s so simple it’s crazy!

Like most great strategies, the simpler the better.

I went for a walk with my own thoughts.

Not exactly rocket science is it?

It’s amazing what solutions pop up with a little endorphin boost and some silence.

I walked and thought and ruminated.

Then once I’d had enough of my own thoughts.

I put on some Gabby Bernstein, Super Attractor in fact, and listened and reflected on what she was saying.

And then I even had a good old cry.

Most the time that’s enough but on this day I needed an extra boost.

So I put on an I Choose mantra from the amazing Vanessa Jarman and told myself a better story.

Because I do choose me and I choose an amazing life.

And I choose that because I know my purpose is to help other business owners like you and I need to be at my best to do that.

Sometimes we need a little help creating that.

That’s why I utilise tools and strategies that other people have given me or taught me.

I know I need a little helping hand sometimes.

Anyway, once I was in a better frame of mind I found my way forward.

We just have to keep moving forward.

We don’t know if it’s going to be the next step or the tenth one that brings us the success or outcomes we are looking for. We just have to have faith and keep moving forward.

Wishing you all the joy!
